‘We are very lucky to have such a strong team at Astaara, which has seen rapid growth in response to demand,’ said Robert Dorey, CEO of maritime cyber risk management and insurance specialists, Astaara.

‘The addition of Victoria, Asti and Gemma is a fantastic boost to an already strong team and their skills complement the business and one another perfectly.’

Mrs Knowles has more than 20 years’ experience in administration across the property, public relations and insurance sectors.

Her previous roles include national advertising coordinator for a large national real estate company and PA to C-suite executives in a cross-section of industries.

‘I am thrilled to have joined Astaara at such an exciting time. We have some of the very best people onboard already and I am personally looking forward to welcoming new faces as we grow. As chief of staff, I will be ensuring the wellbeing of not only our existing members of staff, but our new joiners. The right culture is vital for us and being human is paramount to ensuring a thriving and happy company,’ she said.

Miss Rogers has spent more than 10 years working in the London Insurance Market, initially in project management before migrating into operations in 2015.  Her last three roles have all focused on developing the operation function at new start-ups, including Lloyd’s syndicates and MGAs.

‘I am delighted to have joined such an exciting and innovative company. There are some incredibly talented people working for Astaara and I’m very happy to be part of the team, building something new and unique,’ said Miss Rogers, who will help build from scratch the operations function that supports each part of the business.

With a background in risk and reinsurance, Miss Smyth has worked for the past decade in catastrophe analytics for Lloyd’s syndicates.

She is experienced in catastrophe modelling, developing methodologies for assessing and aggregating cyber risk in the marine sector.
